Tokio Hotel's: Tom Kaulitz working out a deal with Perrine D.

Bravo magazine is reporting that an accusation of assault was delivered to Tokio Hotel band member, Tom Kaulitz by the Hamburg prosecutor’s office. However, band manager, David Jost said it is still not clear whether or not the matter will have to go to trial. According to David Moller, a public prosecutor in Hamburg, the matter doesn’t necessarily have to trial, and the issue is actually pending.

The charge stems back to an incident at a gas station in Hamburg in April of this year. Tom Kaulitz, guitarist for the German band, Tokio Hotel had an altercation one night with an obsessed fan at a gas station in Hamburg. According to a story in the Bild filed earlier this year,the woman in question, who the Bild identifies as Perrine (along three of her friends), had been following the guys from the band around for months at the time of the report. She reportedly moved from her home in Paris to Hamburg, so that she could be near the band. The Local reports there had been complaints from the Kaulitz family about the girl group, who call themselves, the Afghans on Tour. There have also been threats against family members and the girls have staked out the Kaulitz house.

On the night in question, Perrine had followed Tom Kaulitz from his studio in Lüneburg—about an hour away from Hamburg by car.

A scuffle of sorts ensued when Perrine caught up to Kaulitz at a gas station in Hamburg. Some media reports have suggested that she was looking for an autograph or a photo and approached Kaulitz’s car.

Regardless of the reason for approaching the car, according to a Bild report, Kaulitz rolled down his window and threw his cigarette at her, which she then put out on the window of his car.

That’s when Kaulitz reportedly got out and hit her and shoved her to the ground. The Local reported that he also shoved another woman against the back of his car, before getting back in and driving away. The Bild writes that Perrine sustained injury to her eye and ear as a result of the incident.

Because of this, Perrine got a lawyer, who according to a report in the Hamburger Abendblatt filed charges against Kaulitz.

The fear among fans has been that Kaulitz will have to go to prison for up to five years. With things kicking into gear with a string of awards, the release of the video for the band’s second single World Behind my Wall and an upcoming tour, having Kaulitz out of commission would have serious consequences for the band and by extension its fans.

However, according to the report in Bravo, Kaulitz filed charges of his own. Perrine D. has been charged with stalking, which could mean a three-year sentence for her.

According to the Bravo article, the attorneys for both parties have said that both Perrine and Tom are planning to drop their respective charges. The conditions are, that Perrine declares in writing to stop harassing the band and their family members.

It also stated that there is a secret deal that will help both parties out. Whether this is in addition to a recent settlement of 2,000 euros that Kaulitz is said to have paid to Perrine already is not stated in the Bravo article.

As for Kaulitz, according to Bravo, he only wants to forget the worst night of his life – and simply rock again…
